My appreciation for the fact that my birthday falls on an international drinking holiday has grown exponentially over time (see graph below). Having taken Statistics, I am aware that it would be a fallacy at this time to say my enjoyment of St. Patrick's Day follows an exponential pattern, but nonetheless the data collected thus far can be expressed in such a manner.
First up: Leprechaun 4: In Space "One small step for man... One giant leap of terror."
I'm posting the whole darn fallootin' thing below, but here's a rundown for those of you who've been living under rocks rather than at the end of rainbows and have thus missed the Leprechaun series.
There is a leprechaun. He likes gold, and anyone who comes between him and his ends up having horrible things happen to them. In Leprechaun 2 we learn he can marry any girl who sneezes three times if nobody says "God bless you". He is also unkillable, and doesn't have much of an Irish accent. Leprechaun 4 is followed by Leprechaun: In The Hood and Leprechaun: Back 2 the Hood.

I feel bad lumping this Disney Original with the Leprechaun series. Apples and oranges. Rather, goblin-leprechauns and preteen-leprechauns. I've watched this movie at least six times and though the millennium-adjacent hairstyles get old, the message never does. Its simultaneously a sports movie, an American Dream story, and about leprechauns. Below, my favorite part.

NOT GOING TO WATCH: The Quiet Man
Won 2 Oscars, nominated for 5 more. Very Irish. And I hate hate hate it. I can't sit through a showing, and every minute I try to feels like torture. I may be a philistine. And everyone will have to accept that, especially the surviving cast and crew of The Quiet Man.
